Day 2 of Event #11, the PG1000, has just finished. The money bubble was the story of the day, as play was at a virtual standstill for nearly an hour during hand for hand play. After the bubble finally burst, players hit the rail one after another, bringing the number remaining down to 53.
We started with 205 qualifiers from the three Day 1s for this event, and many players opted to buy in directly during the first two levels. Day 2 drew 36 new players and 23 re-entries for a total of 51 new entries. These late additions brought the total number of entries up to 499, leaving this tournament in overlay territory but just barely.
John Helou and Charles La Boissonnière had the biggest stacks throughout Day 2, but Daune Fernandez managed to get the chip lead by the end of the day with 2,917,000 chips in the bag for Day 3.
