    Event #7 Champion: Jonathan Marrie

    2018/01/24 - 3:49 by Shawn McCrory

Jonathan Marrie is the champion of Event #7, the PL Omaha 50/50 bounty. Marrie bested Evangelos Nikolaidis in heads-up play to take home the trophy and $2,000. After eliminating several players on the final table, Marrie had a massive chip lead , and it only took two heads-up hands for Nikolaidis to put his bounty chip in play. Marrie quickly made the call and took down the tournament in the process.

Event #7 Champion: Jonathan Marrie, $2,000.00

    2nd place: Envegelos Nikolaidis, $1,400.00

Terry Forestell has been eliminated in third place, earning him $1,050. On his final hand, Forestell held 10 of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds 6 of Clubs and found himself against Jonathan Marrie who had 8 of Clubs 2 of Clubs 4 of Spades 6 of Spades. The flop 8 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 3 of Spades offered some potential for both players and the chips went in. The turn, Ace of Clubs, gave Marrie the lead. The case eight, 8 of Spades, appeared on the river but it was too little, too late for Forestell.

Arthur W has just left the final table in fourth place, and he will be taking home $780. Arthur, down to only a handful of blinds, was left with only 45K after the pre-flop action. He found himself heads up against Terry Forestell facing a flop of King of Hearts 2 of Clubs 7 of Diamonds. Forestell led out on the flop, betting enough to put Arthur all in. Having no options left, Arthur called it off and hands were tabled.

Forestell: King of Clubs 10 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 9 of Clubs

Arthur: Ace of Diamonds Jack of Clubs 5 of Hearts 9 of Spades

The full board was King of Hearts 2 of Clubs 7d King of Spades 10 of Clubs, making a full house for Forestell and sending Arthur to the rail.

Christopher Hudson was eliminated in 6th and will take home $430. His final hand was a heads-up pot against Jonathan Marrie where the players got it all in on a flop of 9 of Spades 8 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds. Hudson showed Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs King of Hearts, while Marrie had Queen of Spades Jack of Clubs Jack of Hearts 10 of Hearts. Marrie had too many outs for Hudson’s aces to stand, and the 7 of Spades on the turn gave Marrie the lead. The river, Queen of Diamonds, changed nothing and Hudson was out in sixth place.
