Day 3 of the Playground 1000 is just minutes away from beginning, and when the tournament resumes, just 53 players will be taking places at one of the 7 tables still in play. 10 players have already been eliminated in the money, so everyone still playing will earn something for their efforts today – the min-cash today is $1,940.00.
The remaining field is led by Daune Fernandez. Daune is a fixture in big events at Playground Poker Club, and he proved that he can finish when he won the $250 Frenzy in the 2016 Fall Classic for $50,000 – so no one would be well advised to take this competitor lightly as they try and move to the big payouts.
That being said, there are a ton of other superbly skilled players left in the event. Griffin Benger’s name stands out on the list of remaining players – with almost $4M in Live poker earnings for his career, he has a record of performance that’s unmatched in the remaining field. In addition to Benger, though, there are also players like Charles La Boissonniere, Francois Goulet, Said Michailidis, and Ruben Perceval – each of whom has a proven record of having won a Championship here at Playground Poker Club. And further down the list, there are three players of note – William Blais, Pierre Paul Paulin, and Rayan Chamas, all of whom have had some pretty special success in the past in big events.
At the end of the analysis, it must be said that everyone still in the event has proven to have the skill to make it this far, and that alone makes them dangerous going forward. It’s still anyone’s tournament! Good luck to all!
