The Weekend flights are when the $250 Frenzy generally “takes off” as we see huge fields take their shot at qualifying for Day 2 and what is certain to be an impressive prize pool. The Friday flights, combined, saw 213 entries – and we could get something close to that on each of the four Day 1s that remain.
A total of 35 players have already qualified for Day 2, and the outcome of the Friday flights was notable for the sheer number of great players among the qualifiers. Shaan Siddiqui, Charles La Boissoniere, Michael Korovine – these are all champions. Go further down the list and see Chris Arvanitis, Carl Martel and Ruben Perceval and the class of the field is obvious.
Action in Day 1C gets underway in about 15 minutes but players have until 1:15pm to register and join the action. It should be a great day of poker – and then it all starts again tonight at 7:00pm!
