Michael Gabrial was eliminated in 11th place, good for $510.

A double elimination happened not long after when there was a three-way all in before the flop. Two relatively short stacks, Christina Knot and Todd Pierce, had big aces and ran into the Spencer Jean-Baptiste’s pocket tens.

Knot: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Spades

Pierce: Ace of Hearts Jack of Clubs

    Jean-Baptiste: 10 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds

Board: 2 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 3 of Hearts 3 of Spades 6 of Hearts

The tens stood and the players prepared for the final table. Christina Knot took home $510 for her tenth place finish. Tood Pierce earned $680 for ninth place.

Sasan Mehrabian, who won Event #4, was unable to capture another title and was eliminated in 15th place. According to the deal negotiated after the break, he will take home $220.

Soterios T was the next player eliminated. Clinging to life with less than five big blinds, he decided he could wait no longer when Michael Gabrial moved all in from his button. Soterios put in his chips from the big blind and hoped for the best. Despite having live cards, 5 of Spades 6 of Diamonds, against Ace of Diamonds 4 of Spades, the board, Queen of Clubs 4 of Hearts Jack of Clubs 9 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds, was no help and Soterios left in 14th with $440.

Not far behind Soterios was Peter Liakopoulos who busted in 13th. Liakopolous was in the small blind when Simon Assouline limped from the button. Liakopoulos completed and the big blind, Michael Gabrial, moved all in for 5,000 more. Both other players made the call and they saw the flop. Liakopoulos checked to Assouline who went all in and was promptly called by Liakopoulos. Hands were then tabled to show that everyone had connected in a big way.

Assouline: 7 of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds

Liakopoulos: 6 of Hearts 2 of Clubs

Gabrial: Jack of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds

Board: 6 of Diamonds 5 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds 3 of Spades King of Diamonds

Gabrial multiplied his stack and Liakopoulos left in 13th place with $470.

Ian Armorer was the next to fall. He was eliminated in 12th place, earning him $470.

The players have made a deal to pay an extra position. They agreed to take $50 from first place, $50 from second place and $10 from every other position in order to pay the 15th position $220. The deal has lifted some of the tension, but the players remain focused on the big money up top.

We are on the money bubble in Event #10. With 15 players remaining, they are now down to two tables. The tension and blind pressure is palpable in the room. The standard play for most stacks is to move all in before the flop and hope for the best, with the average stack providing around 15 big blinds, so everyone still has a legitimate chance.
