After nearly an hour of hand for hand play, the bubble has finally burst in the PG1000. Andrew Boujaoude was eliminated by Martin Dej in 64th place.

Boujaoude had been playing a short stack for some time. He had doubled up as hand for hand play begun when his pocket kings held up against pocket sixes. On his final hand, Boujaoude moved all in from his big blind with Ace of Spades King of Diamonds after Martin Dej had made a raise from early position. Dej, playing 10 of Clubs 10 of Spades, made the call and hands were tabled. The board 5 of Clubs Jack of Spades 2 of Clubs 7 of Hearts2 of Hearts could not save Boujaoude and the pair of tens popped the bubble.

We expect the floodgates to open as everyone is now in the money. The short stacks who were eyeing the bubble will likely get it in at the first decent opportunity.

Play has virtually ground to a halt in the PG1000 as the money bubble brought about hand for hand play. Over the last 40 minutes, there have been a number of called all-ins but the short stack has doubled each time. While there were a number of players down to less than five big blinds, they have each increased their stacks significantly.

Play now continues on the bubble.

The PG1000 is now on the bubble with 64 players remaining. The last level saw the big stacks stealing blinds and pressuring the small stacks.

The tension in the room is building as we approach the money bubble in the Event #11, the Playground 1000. This feature event drew 499 entries (combined total of entries and re-entries) and will pay 63 places. There are 68 players left in contention, each hoping to outlast the others on their way to the first place prize of $93,930.00. The players are clearly conscious of the bubble on the horizon, as every decision is being carefully calculated and only the strongest hands are making it to showdown.

While the bubble is looming over the short stacks, one players who is not feeling the pressure is our current chip leader, John Helou, who is now playing a stack of more then 2,400,000.

Ruben Perceval and Tanvir Ahmed are two talented local players whose fortunes are going in different directions tonight. Perceval has been chipping up for much of the day, while Ahmed never really managed to get any traction today and has finally been eliminated from the event.

We arrived at the table to find Ahmed all in for about 10bb and Perceval had made the call. The cards were tabled.

Ahmed: Ace of Clubs 10 of Hearts
Perceval: Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds

Ahmed got none of the help he was seeking as the board ran out 5 of Hearts 6 of Spades 9 of Hearts Queen of Clubs 4 of Hearts and Perceval combined the chips with his own…
