As the Winter Festival comes to a close, this afternoon’s tournament, the $110 8-Max Freeze, drew 95 entries. The strong turnout means that the prize pool will greatly surpass the $5,000.00 guarantee. As we near the midpoint of level 14, the field is down to 18 players on three tables, and they all have their eyes on the money. The top ten finishers will cash, and the eventual champion will take home $2,165.00 in addition to the stunning trophy.

There’s a single-day daytime event on this, the final day of the 2018 Playground Winter Festival. The tournament is a $100 + $10 NL Hold’em 8-Max Freeze, meaning that there will be a maximum of 8 players per table and there are no re-entries or rebuys permitted in the tournament. Blinds are 20 minutes long throughout and as mentioned above, the entire tournament will play out today.
A traditional feature of the final day of Playground festivals is that staff is often allowed to play, and that will certainly be the case today and tonight for Event #17.
Cards are in the air and in level 2 there are 63 players so far. Late registration is open until 2:30pm, so there’s still plenty of time to get out here to Playground Poker Club and join the event.
