The closing event of the Winter Festival brought a great turnout with 135 entries. As expected, the bounty chips have induced plenty of action, and more than half the field has already busted. As the players left on break, the field was down to 54 players. The top 14 players will cash tonight, but until the money bubble is on the horizon, expect the fast-paced and aggressive play to continue.
Here are the current chip leaders:

The late registration period has just finished on our final event of the Winter Festival, the $330 Bounty. This closing event is always popular and this edition is no exception; 135 players entered this evening, making for a prize pool that surpassed the $30,000.00 guarantee by a wide margin. After the first break, 123 players remained in contention. A quick survey of the tables reveals that most players are still hovering around their start stack of 20,000 but a handful of players have managed to already double their chips. The current chip leader, Maxime Marcouiller, has 63,600.

The cards are in the air for the Winter Festival’s closing event, the $330 Bounty, and registration is picking up quickly. The players continue to make their way to the tables so the prize pool for this event will greatly surpass the $30,000.00 guarantee. At this point in level 2, there have already been 104 entries. Given the bounty format, it’s not that surprising that two players have already hit the rail. As everyone knows, with the $100 bounties up for grabs, players can free roll or even turn a profit in this event without making it all the way to the end.
There is still time to register! Late registration continues until 8:30pm. Good luck to all!

Tonight is the final event of the 2018 Winter Festival. Event #17, the $330 6-Max Bounty, is familiar to those who have played past events here at Playground, and it is always draws a big field.
The $330 buy-in gets players 20,000 in chips to start and a $100 bounty chip so this tournament offers the best of both worlds: a huge prize pool and bounties to collect along the way. If past events are any indication, the $30,000.00 guarantee will be easily surpassed. Late registration is open for the first four levels of play so there’s still plenty of time to make it to Playground and join the action!
The cards will be in the air soon. Good luck to all!
