    Santolin hits the kicker

René Bourbeau and Giancarlo Santolin got it in pre-flop. Bourbeau was at risk, but was dominating his opponent:

René Bourbeau: Ace of Diamonds Jack of Hearts
Giancarlo Santolin: Ace of Spades 6 of Spades

Board: 2 of Hearts 6 of Hearts 4 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs 10 of Hearts

    Giancarlo Santolin

A bit hit for Santolin. He did have Barbeau covered, both both were rather short, and failing to hit a 6 would have been painful.

Austin Lamanna’s raise to 3,000 was casually called by Rohit K. When everybody else folded, realizing that Lamanna only had about 16K left, K turned his back to the board and said that he would probably call him blind.

Flop: 10 of Clubs Jack of Spades 2 of Spades

Lamanna bet out 7,000, and K decided he wanted to take a peek at the flop after all. He immediately went all-in, saying that he could never fold that hand. Lamanna called.

Austin Lamanna: Queen of Hearts Queen of Clubs
Rohit K: 10 of Spades 8 of Spades

K stood up and started to serenade Lamanna, much to everyone’s entertainment: “You can not win this. Time for you to go home.”

    Turn: Queen of Spades

K: “You can stand up now, it’s over…”

    River: 2 of Diamonds

When the river appeared, the whole table laughed, including K. He gave his opponent a pat on the back, and proceeded to cut the lost amount.

Marrie and K on a rampage

Jonathan Marrie and Rohit K are having an amazing time. In just 8 levels, they managed to amass a stack that is worthy of Day 2, and there are still 6 levels to play before the bags come out!

    • Rohit K – 155,800

Kevin Christopher Truelove was under the gun when he got 3-bet to 5K by Austin Lamanna. Truelove was going nowhere, holding a pair of ladies, and went all-in, sending Lamanna to the time bank. He finally elected to call off the 17K bet.

When the firing stopped, 3 players were all-in before the flop was out.

Jonathan Marrie: Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds
John Helou: 6 of Clubs 6 of Hearts
Jishant Sapra: Ace of Hearts King of Hearts

Board: 8 of Hearts 7 of Clubs 6 of Spades 7 of Spades 3 of Clubs

What a hit for Helou. That pot brought him from a 10.5K short stack to an over-average 35K. Marrie lost 10,5K to the main pot, but took Sapra’s remaining 30K, which made him a nice profit.
