When Sébastien Proulx raised from the button, the bet was called by Brandon Kessous from the small blind, and Ismaël Keita went all-in for a few chips more. Both players called.

Kessous called a flop bet, but surrendered on the turn, and Keita realized he had no outs.

Proulx had flopped the nut straight, and won the pot, sending Event 3 in the money.

Event 3 players will go on their second break in a few minutes. about half the field remain, and those 77 players can now gaze at the prizes, which have been added to the tournament screen.

Tonight at Playground Poker Club is the first of the single-day tournaments in the Playground Winter Festival, and it should be extremely popular – bounty tournaments are favourites at Playground! Tonight’s event is a $150 + $30 + $150 NL Hold’em Bounty event with half of the buy-in going to the “traditional” prize pool and the other $150 goes to bounty chips that each player will surrender directly to the player who eliminates them from the tourney.

If history is a guide, this is sure to be a great event. Given the sometimes wild dynamics of any bounty tournament, it’s certain to be one of the most fun events on the schedule – and the pressure is amped up by such a huge bounty chip. Not only will the “traditional” prize pool be impressive, but the prizes locked up in players’ bounty chips is HUGE!

This is a one-day event and blinds throughout will be 20 minutes in length and players start with a 20K stack. Late registration will be available through the first 4 levels of the tournament. We expect to draw new players right until the end of late reg.
